MV SANTANA
is based out the Whangaroa Harbour, on the East Coast of the
North Island of NEW ZEALAND, home of the world famous Kingfish Lodge.
Whangaroa
is one of the largest natural harbours in NEW ZEALAND. It is surrounded
by native bush with numerous sheltered secluded bays. Dive for
scallops, go fishing, set a net for flounder or collect your own
oysters.
Within twenty minutes of leaving the harbour you are in
the famed game fishing waters of NEW ZEALAND, straight into Black
Marlin territory.
Northland's fishing area can offer black, blue and the largest striped marlin in the world.
Enjoy a tussle with skipjack tuna, albacore, yellow fin tuna or a scrap with the big eye tuna.
Look
forward to a delicious meal when you land the queen of the sea, the
dolrado dolphin. If you are into sharks, we have the blue, hammerhead,
thresher (makes life interesting for everyone in the cockpit with a
massive tail whipping around) or the mako (not for the faint hearted
when they launch themselves at the boat but a huge buzz!).
Then we have the BROADBILL. What some call the ultimate fighter. Got guts, determination and staying power?
The broadbill has probably more!
During
the winter get out of the rut of work and join us for an extended
weekend or midweek bottom fishing trip for kingis, puka, snapper and
more.
